A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and a master’s degree in Communication provided the foundations for Mr. Klassen’s education. He is a graduate of the MEP program for executives in organizational effectiveness at the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. Early in his career, Don Klassen held management positions with Dayton’s Department Stores and from there built a 27-store retail chain as the CEO and principle stockholder. Additionally, Don served on the board of directors for a group of successful Minnesota banks.
All of this knowledge and experience placed Mr. Klassen in a unique position to share his successes to guide other executives. He authored “Strategic Planning for Entrepreneurial Enterprise,” and co-authored “Advanced Communication Skills for Entrepreneurial Executives” and “Diamonds.” Don also created audio programs on strategic planning and the art of sales team leadership.
As a result of his business accomplishments, the prestigious Bush Foundation named Don Klassen as a distinguished recipient of a leadership fellowship. His award-winning knowledge and experience made Don Klassen an integral part of any strategic planning process.
