How are you different from other employee development companies?
Our approach, content, and facilitation make us unique. First, all development begins with a clear understanding of the results our clients need to achieve. Second, our clients depend on us for practical, relevant content. We don’t get lost in theories and abstract information; we make sure participants can implement what they learn immediately. Third, our facilitators are professional speakers and business owners. Their experience and credibility enable them to answer in-depth questions and professionally engage audiences.
How does the customization of workshops work?
Customization begins with conversation to get a clear understanding of a client’s current situation and the results they need to see from an investment in the development of their team. We then outline a solution designed to get those results and sustain them after the workshop. This leads to an engaging, impactful session that fits with the unique culture of each client.
What kind of experience do your facilitators have?
Our facilitators are all business owners and professional speakers with years of experience with a variety of audiences. They are experts in the content they facilitate, enabling them to answer in-depth questions. Their experience gives them the credibility they need to work with people at all levels of an organization.
How do you make development sustainable?
There are three things we do to increase sustainability and maximize the return our clients get on their investments. First, we present our content in a practical, action-oriented way. That makes it very easy for participants to implement change immediately. Second, as professional speakers and experienced business owners, our facilitators keep participants engaged without fluff or gimmicks. Engagement increases retention of content. Third, we incorporate follow-up expectations based on the needs of each client.
Is it better to attend the public sessions or to have it brought into our company?
It depends on the goals of the individual or team. When a purpose of the workshop is team building in addition to development, it is often best to do an in-house session so the team can develop together. Other people prefer to attend a public session so they get exposed to ideas from seasoned leaders from other companies and industries. Either way, participants gain significant value above and beyond the content.
Can Klassen Performance Group certify our trainers?
Yes, and clients tell us our certifications are unique. We work with your team of trainers to deliver our workshops in a way that maximizes value for your culture. We do not ask trainers to memorize scripts; we help them understand and internalize the material so they deliver it with confidence. We also teach them ways to engage their participants professionally as they deliver the material.
Can assessments be connected to competency models?
Yes. We believe the value from a competency model comes from using it to aid in both hiring and developing employees. Once the model is finished, we set clients up with a system of assessments that compares candidates to the model so they can hire people who fit the best. Employees take a competency-based assessment to identify developmental needs. The system also provides a competency-based 360 to track ongoing development based on feedback from people with whom the employee works.
Do you create your own assessments?
Using assessments created by other companies enables us to offer a wide variety of options to our clients. Our agility also enables us to switch to a new assessment if it offers something new or better that would benefit our clients. Assessments provide one piece of the solution we offer. By utilizing the best assessments on the market, we can devote our energy to providing a comprehensive solution.
